An ongoing collection, currently with 373 photos. These have been arranged in taxonomic order, i.e. the order of presumed evolutionary relationships, from most primitive to most recent species. Recent progress in DNA sequence analysis has led to many changes in our views of these relationships. For instance, falcons are more closely related to parrots than to hawks!
